Janet Dakers-Bidle received her adult nurse practitioner degree  from University of Maryland School of Nursing in the spring of 2009.  Shortly after receiving her degree she joined Frederick Gastroenterology Associates. Prior to this, she worked as a registered nurse for 12 years with Frederick Health Hospital.

She believes strongly in preventative care through colon cancer screening and education. She also feels good communication between herself and her patients is key to a successful patient-provider  relationship.

When not working she spends her time outdoors enjoying activities such as running, hiking, biking and kayaking  with friends and family. She has also fostered dogs for the past 6 years.
