Evelyn Chavez, PA-C grew up in northern Maryland and  graduated Magna Cum Laude with BA in Biology from the University of  Maryland, Baltimore County. She would spend the next 2 years working as a  pharmacy technician and a physical therapy technician  for ATI Physical Therapy. She continued her medical education through  Arcadia University where she earned her Masters in Medical Science.  Shortly after graduation from her PA program she worked at Sinai  Hospitals Neurology/Neurosurgery Department. While she  found her hospital work rewarding, she followed her true calling to  work with patients in the outpatient setting. She has been working at  Frederick Gastroenterology Associates since Spring of 2021.

Her biggest passion is helping to bring GI care to  the Spanish speaking community. She has found that access to care for  these patients is limited in Frederick County and has found it rewarding  to be able to provide care to patients in  the language they are most comfortable speaking.

Often, you will find Evelyn carrying her Kindle reading the latest books. She enjoys exercising, riding her bike in the warmer months, and cuddling with her step-dog, Toby!
