A Louisiana native, Colette  Benton is a Board-certified Adult Nurse Practitioner. She earned both her Bachelor  of Science in nursing and Master  of Science from the  University of Maryland, Baltimore. Before  joining Frederick Gastroenterology Associates in 2009, Colette worked  in a variety of inpatient and outpatient settings, focusing on interventional  radiology, telemetry, nursing education and endoscopy.

Colette  believes the patient-provider relationship is a partnership. It is  Colette’s  goal to guide and educate you on your health journey with personalized  care. She prides herself in taking the extra time to listen and educate  patients while promoting active participation. She believes  knowledge is power.

When  not working, Colette enjoys spending time with her family, friends and miniature Schnauzer, Ace. She especially loves adventures traveling and taking family vacations to the beach.
